"Be Careful, Child" is a two-part Halloween short story made by me (Harriet) after getting inspiration from certain songs by Creature Feature :)

Criss Allen

A confident and curious girl that finds interest in taking photos with her friends & family, as well as beautiful sceneries. She loves being with the ones she cares about and exploring different places, well, besides the forest after what had happened to her "that Halloween night" four years ago when she was 12.
She still can't escape the horror carnival in the present time.

Archie Lewis

Very social and easy going, a boy with the dream of helping out those who need it. He's the one that welcomes new students in Sunrise Middle School, which got him to meet Paige and Criss. He loves encouraging people, especially his friends, and hyping them up to do something.
He also has a pet beagle named Bagel! And by the end of chapter 2, he's currently working as a doctor.

Paige Fletcher

She may be shy and reserved at first, but once you get to know her, she's brimming with energy on talking about her interests (like video games and stories). Speaking of interests, she loves reading and playing games especially with her friends. Low self esteem got to her when she's 16 but with the help of Criss & Archie, she managed to be confident with herself.
She's still wondering if her dearest friend is doing fine to this day....even if she thinks that said friend may be dead

Marcus "Mark" Walter and Ann

Marcus is a generous and chill man, always putting others first before his own interest. He used to work in a flower shop before ending up in the carnival. He had took in a young girl after finding the poor child sleeping on his cabin's doorstep. But when the girl disappeared one day, he got worried and went out to search for her; then got lured into the carnival and died.

Ann is a doll whose purpose is to follow her witch master, Eliza's commands. She's knowledgeable about potions, spells and magical objects. Very quick in both physical movements and verbally responding especially to Eliza.

Jack & Trix the clown

Jack is an enthusiastic and sly ringmaster. He's the one that owns/controls the carnival for the undead and monsters. He also used to be a human who loved bringing joy to children and adults that came to his carnival, that was once a normal one. A deal made with a magical being had caused it all to fall apart.
He continues to seek out humans, to become a part of his undead "family".

Trix is a young man that fell in love with the life of a circus. His parents didn't like this idea but he pursued his dream career anyways. He never knew that his dream would become a nightmare once he started working for Jack as a clown and ending up watching the horrors that had happened in the carnival.
He's the only human in Jack's group of slaves for the twisted carnival, always being possessed by Jack and forgetting that he's in a horrendous situation.

This is the first concept designs for Jack and Criss when I first had an idea of making the story.

First visualization of Jack touring Criss around the carnival. I was planning on giving Criss a tragic story that made her run away into the woods, but decided to go against that.

First character design for Marcus. He looked too unapproachable and contradicts his personality in the plot so I redesigned him.
